    In pursuit of combating illegal harvesting and trade in timber and charcoal, FAO has today signed two letters of agreement with CARE International and Around the world Fund for Nature (WWF). Each organization will receive USD $ 100,000 to implement designated activities in year.

    A new interactive online database provides access to many of the collected information in FAO’s comprehensive and newest Global Forest Resources Assessment (FRA 2010). The key module has options to exploit multiple output formats and generate simple diagrams, providing easier and more flexible access to FRA data.
